Well, they arent making the standard 2.4 spark plugs anymore, they are now superceded by the Turbo plugs. Anyhow, my car was misfiring so I did a tune up on it today. the gap was off by a long shot, looks like the previous owner did the change at 30k without gapping them. I put the new plugs in with .040 and BANG, runs awesome, so the 27 mpg I got on my roadtrip test at 55mph wasnt fair, gonna have to do a run up to goosberry falls tomorrow and see how she does! I think I will fill up on the way there and test the mileage at 55, then fill up again and do the speed limit on the way back and compare, then in two weeks go up again and do the opposite just to make the test fair.
The part number at Oreilly is Champion 470
Turbo gap is .050
W/O Turbo is .040
Tune up was easy!!!!

OK, so I did the trip to Gooseberry falls today, did 70 all the way up and max speed limits everywhere else. 24.1 MPG
So I locked in at a max speed of 55 mph on the way back, 34.1 MPG YAY!!!
Shes not doing over 55 no more!!!!

WOW that is a solid difference. Good to know. But at 55 you may be the slowest car on the highway.
